Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack Review - 2022 Ford Edge- Video
Hi everybody, Cooper here from etrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at our Kuat Sherpa on our 2022 Ford Edge. Our bike rack here is going to be a platform style bike rack weighted at 40 pounds for each bike and is going to be contactless frame support, meaning that's going to be great for our carbon frame bikes and our alternative frame bikes as well. In order to engage our tilt away function, we're just gonna go ahead and lift up a little bit on that, allowing us to disengage our lever here, and then just tilt our bike rack away from our vehicle which is going to allow us access into our trunk. Now it's not really enough room to sit down and maybe change my shoes, but it does allow me access into the trunk itself to maybe pick up my shoes or pick up my helmet or my lunch. Now, in order to get our bike frame back up, we're just gonna go ahead and grab it, lift up until we hear that click sound and that means it's back into place. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, and today we have the RockyMounts HighNoon FC 3 Bike Platform Rack. We're gonna take a look at how it fits our 2022 Ford Edge. This is a very versatile bike rack, great for carrying around bikes in different shapes and sizes. If you're familiar with the Rocky Mounts MonoRail, this is gonna be very similar with another added feature though, which is going to be fender capability. So if you have to carry around bikes with fenders, but maybe you're also carrying around heavier bikes or carbon fiber frame bikes, this is gonna be a good action for you. Now with this being a longer rack though, there are some differences when it comes to how it fits your car. more

Our bike rack here is going to be a platform style bike rack that can hold up to two bikes. They're gonna be individually weight rated at 60 pounds each. Yakima Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2022 Ford Edge- Video
Hey, it's Ethan here at E-trailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima FullTilt hitch bike rack and how it fits on our 2022 Ford Edge. The FullTilt is going to be a hanging style bike rack capable of holding five bikes. In this case, up to 150 pounds total. So because it is a hanging style rack that's going to make primary contact and hold onto our bikes by the top tube here. So if you have a carbon frame bike, we would recommend against using this because it will make that frame contact. more

We're focusing specifically on the fit with this vehicle. Pros, cons, ups and downs. So first thing we're gonna point out is the fact that this bike rack is designed for e-bike usage. So it does have a airway capacity of 60 pounds per bike. It's going to hold onto our bikes primarily with this frame hook here on our center mast as well as one strap on the back one strap on the front so it gets a really nice hold. more

How's it going It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE pitched back rack and how it fits on our 2022 Ford Edge. The Sport Rider SE is popular because it has a lot going for it as far as capacity. It's able to support 80 pounds per bike. It's gonna be a platform style bike rack, so it's gonna hold the bike up primarily by the tray and these cradles here. Primary point of contact holding onto your bike is going to be these frame clamps here, frame hooked rather, on this center mast. more

So if you have extra heavy electric bikes and you need an easier way to get them onto the bike rack 'cause you don't want to lift them as high, well, this might be a good option for you. Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer and today we have the Hollywood Racks Destination Four-Bike Platform Rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Ford Edge. So the Destination Four is one of my favorite racks when it comes to carrying around a lot of bikes without taking a lot of space and without spending a lot of money because this is gonna be a quick and easy way to get bikes of different shapes and sizes and, from experience, I do know that it works really well with your smaller children's bikes as well. So if you want to upgrade from your hanging rack and you want more stability, I would highly recommend looking at the Destination Four. There are some downsides to this rack though and with the Ford Edge, we're gonna talk about that. The main downside is that you cannot tilt this rack away. more

Which makes it excellent for, yes, transporting your carbon frame bikes as they are lightweight. And since we do have a nice little tire hold format here on our platform rack, becomes an excellent option for these guys, as you're not needing that high weight capacity. more

The way this bike rack is mounted to our bike rack here is by one, two, three mounting points. We have two on the top tube and one here, which is our anti-sway cradle. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Swagman XTC-2 Platform Style Two-Bike Rack on our 2019 Ford Edge.Now, our Swagman is going to be a great value rack and really be a good entry point into getting a platform-style rack. Now, platform-style rack is going to have a tray, wheel hoops, some kind of platform that our bike is going to sit on. And our Swagman here, we're also going to have a frame hook right here in the center that's going to make sure our bikes are nice and secure. Now, again, we're going to be able to carry up to two bikes with this to and from the trail with our Swagman here.Now, the way it's going to hold everything in place those wheel hooks, we're just going to ratchet down, and then on each one of the wheel hoops here, we're going to have a strap. It's Rob here at etrailer.com and today we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Hitching Post Pro four bike hanging style rack on our 2019 Ford Edge.Now, our Hitching Post Pro is going to allow us to take up to four bikes to and from the trail. Now, I personally really like hitch mounted bike racks. I personally think it's a lot easier than cramming them in the back of the hatch, and I don't like the idea of having a roof rack on our Edge. I'm a little bit on the shorter side, and I just don't like the idea of having to lift my bike this high, and being this close to the paint. So a hitch mounted carrier is going to make it a lot easier on our backs, because we're not going to be lifting our bikes as high, and again, we don't have to be so close to the car and worry about any kind of scratches or damage.Our Hitching Post Pro is going to hold our bike at three different points. more

My personal favorite thing about this rack is that it's incredibly lightweight. So it's going to be easy to handle and that's because it's made from aluminum, and because of that, we're not going to have to worry about any rust or corrosion issues either. Rola Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2014 Ford Edge- Video
Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer dot com. Today on our 2014 Ford Edge, we're going to be taking a look at the Rola TX Two Bike Rack.Now this is the two bike version. But, if you need to carry more bike it is available in also a three, and four bike carrier.One of my favorite things about this rack is that it's going to be very compact and easy to move around. It also looks very modern, and because of its size, in most cases, you're still going to be able to back into those tight spots or even small garages, without having to take your bike off and fold it down in the stored position.Now, the bike itself is going to be secured in three spots. We're going to have two straps holding the top tube down, and then we're also going to have a strap here on our seat tube. And what that's going to do is help prevent any sway back and forth. more

Thule Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2015 Ford Edge- Video
Hey everyone! Today we have a 2015 Ford Edge and we're going to test it with a Touhey Helium Pro Three-Bike Hanging Style Rack.Now this hanging rack's going to allow you to transport up to three bikes to and from the trails, or wherever else you're going to take them. It's got a pretty cool design in that it comes in at about 20 pounds, so it's going to be pretty light and very easy to handle so any time you're installing it into your hitch or taking it out, you're not going to have to put too much strain on your back or anything like that which is pretty nice because most, you know, three to four bike platform racks are going to get up there in weight. You know, 30, 40 pounds and that's just going to be a lot less weight you got to carry so, which is good for that.Now, the bike itself is going to be attached at three different points. We have two straps on top of the top tube, right there. The third point is going to be down here on the seat post tube. It's going to be securing, the strap is going to be securing it into the anti sway cradle and that just helps prevent a lot of unnecessary movement out of our bike while we're traveling.We're going to have an onboard cable lock that comes out from the base, it goes over top of your bikes and locks into this slot right there. more
